About Lauren

The pattern can make sense and still need to change.

Lauren works with high-achieving and highly sensitive women navigating anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, trauma and relationship challenges. She also works with couples whose conflict, distance or attachment patterns have started running the relationship. Her approach is warm, collaborative and practical, with room for honesty, humor and direct conversation.

Much of Lauren's work looks at how past experiences and family relationships continue shaping present-day beliefs, emotional reactions and expectations of other people. Together, you identify the protective patterns that once made sense, understand what keeps activating them and build tools you can use when the old reaction arrives first.

Lauren is EMDR trained and may integrate attachment-based therapy, trauma-informed work, mindfulness and parts work informed by Internal Family Systems. This can include working with distressing memories that still carry force, the perfectionistic part that believes mistakes are dangerous or the part that stays vigilant because relaxing has never felt entirely safe.

Explore EMDR therapy

With couples, Lauren helps partners slow down recurring conflict, identify what each person is protecting and say what is difficult to express directly. The goal is not simply to communicate better during the session, but to change what happens when the same pressure appears again.

Lauren values autonomy, curiosity and the relationship built between therapist and client. Before becoming a counselor, she spent ten years as a hairstylist, where she developed an early appreciation for what happens when people feel comfortable enough to be themselves. Outside of work, she enjoys being on the water, interior design, cooking and time with her family and animals.
